As the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis sails into its new homeport of Bremerton today, there will be plenty of celebrations to ensure that sailors and their families feel right at home.

There will be plenty of pier side fun as the Stennis, which is changing homeports from San Diego, makes its way into Bremerton. Local vendors will be providing free food including Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. There also will be clowns for the kids and music will be provided by a DJ. The Central Kitsap High School Band and Navy Northwest Band will be performing prior to the arrival of the Stennis and the South Kitsap High School Band will be providing entertainment after the aircraft carrier pulls into port.

The fun will continue into this evening with a comedy show by local comedian Cris Larsen at 4 p.m. at the Sam Adams Pub on Naval Base
