Happy Wubbulous birthday, Dr. Seuss!

The Cat in the Hat did indeed return, but this time he looked an awful lot like Central Kitsap School Board President Chris Stokke. Stokke, along with board members Bruce Richards and Christy Cathcart, and Hertica Martin, the district’s executive director of teaching and learning, visited Cottonwood Elementary on March 2 to share the love of Dr. Seuss with the younger set in celebration of the literary master’s 101st birthday.

Stokke, who read “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” to Debbie Duane’s fourth-grade class, was the only guest reader who decked out in full regalia. Stokke is involved in the Linder Foundation which participates in the Kitsap Mall’s Kids Night Out for Halloween. Last year he just happened to
