What does it take to put on CK Super Saturday? How about 79 pounds of hot dogs and 500 bags of chips to start with.

That’s just some of what the estimated 700 student and adult volunteers will be eating today when they’re all done with their jobs and they converge at Silverdale Waterfront Park to party.

But first they have to earn it. Secondary students from across the Central Kitsap School District will take to the streets to pick up trash and wash cars for free.
