KCSO investigating CKHS volunteer

A staff member is on administrative leave at Central Kitsap High School while the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office looks into allegations of inappropriate behavior of a school volunteer.

According to a letter sent home by Principal John Cervinsky to CKHS parents, a volunteer in the instrumental music department is being investigated for inappropriate behavior. Neither district officials or the Sheriff’s office will identify the teacher on administrative leave.

“While privacy laws and concern for fair dealings prevent our providing detailed information about these allegations, a far greater concern for our students leads us to send this correspondence,” Cervinsky
