Misery Point boat launch gets infusion of funds

Misery Point boat launch in Seabeck is more than 40 years old — although it won’t look like it after a much-needed facelift thanks to a $200,000 grant from the Boating Facilities Program (BFP).

The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife is using the grant to design and get permits for the aging facility on Hood Canal. The department recently worked with the Kitsap Poggie Club which showed interest in upgrading the ramp including extending the ramp, adding a lane and providing boarding floats.
