CKFR recognizes teens for life-saving actions

The quick actions of Tramell Walls and T.J. Sims not only helped to save the lives of Santa Fe Ridge Apartment tenants when their apartment caught on fire last month, but it also earned them Certificates of Appreciation from Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue.

The two Ridgetop Junior High School students were taking a short-cut on their way to school at about 6:45 a.m. on May 26 when they smelled smoke. They discovered that it was coming from one of the apartment units.
