The artistic talents of more than 15 local artists will be on display at Friday’s Old Town Silverdale Art Walk, and not only will there be plenty of art, but lots of chances for free giveaways.

The Art Walk is from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9. The seasonal event is nearing its second year and is free to the public.

“It’s a good opportunity to talk to the artists and find out what makes them tick,” said Denise Cormier Mahoney, art walk coordinator.

Venues throughout Old Town will have a variety of art showcased and some will have the work of more than one artist displayed.

There also will be 10-20 special interest cars that will be on display in Old Town and the Home Town Band will be playing in the parking lot of the Waterfront Bakery & Café.
