Altruistic tree decorators sought
June 11, 2008 · Updated 1:59 PM
Harrison Hospital Foundation is seeking decorators for a Mini Tree Workshop, 6-9 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Garden Room of Harrison Medical Center Silverdale. Decorators will learn tips on decorating their 22-inch artificial evergreens available to pick up at the workshop. They will then adorn the trees, donating a minimum of $35-worth of ornaments, and will bring them to be sold at the Festival of Trees. Proceeds will benefit Harrisons pediatric rehab unit.
The Festival of Trees, Harrisons premier fund-raiser, is celebrating its 19th year this Thanksgiving weekend. For the first time, thanks to sponsorship by Bremertons Bratrud Middleton Insurance, mini trees will be available in abundance and therefore, on a cash-and-carry basis. In the past, visitors have had to wait until the end of the festival to come back and take home the tree or wreath they purchased.
For more information on becoming a sponsor or decorator, or to sign up for the workshop, call (360) 792-6760.
