Schools ready with snow plan
June 11, 2008 · Updated 2:14 PM
Snowflakes hit the ground Thursday all across Central Kitsap and some of them survived the impact.
Tis the season for reminding students and parents of the CK School Districts information system in case more snow falls and creates slick driving conditions.
Visit www.cksd.wednet.edu or www.schoolreport.org for current information on school closures. At the second Web site, those who wish may register for e-mail alerts from a specific school.
Calling CKSDs central office at (360) 662-1610 is another way to find out if any local schools are closed.
Or beginning at 6 a.m., listen to the radio or watch television news for an update on Central Kitsap School District No. 401.
For a full list of the local television stations as well as the FM and AM radio frequencies that carry CKSD weather-closure updates, visit the CKSD Web site and click on the second link in the weather-related box, titled CKSD 2005-06 Inclement Weather and Emergency Operating Procedures.
