While they’re used to fighting fires, these nine Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue firefighters and officers are joining in the fight against fat.

Whether it’s the “The Leftovers” or “Eye Candy,” only one of the two CKFR teams will beat out the other in the challenge to lose the most combined body fat. The 12-week challenge began Jan. 13 and will last until April 14. Although they are actually participating in the nationwide Bally Total Fitness 911 Fitness Challenge, the two teams are taking their competitive drive to the limit with a little something CKFR Capt. Frank Wilson calls “peer pressure.”
