Richard Wesley Bryan, 49, who is facing charges in the alleged all-night assault of his ex-girlfriend on Jan. 11 also has been charged by prosecutors with child molestation stemming from a separate incident.
According to the Kitsap County Sheriffs Office, the alleged child molestation occurred between 1999 and 2002, soon after Wesley moved in with a now-former girlfriend (not the woman he allegedly assaulted) and her young daughter in their Seabeck home.
The womans divorce was final in 1999 and soon after (Wesley) moved in and lived with them for about two-and-a-half years, said Deputy Scott Wilson, KCSO spokesman.
