60 years & still growing

In its 60th year in business and third generation of owners, Dahl Glass is surpassing yet another milestone.
Owned by Kevin Dahl, the grandson of Ole Dahl who started the business in 1946 with Dahl and Peterson Lumber, plans are underway to move the family business from its current location on North Silverdale Way to Clear Creek Road. Having recently cleared land between Clear Creek RV Center and Clear Creek Nursery, Dahl is hoping to move to the new location by August. Dubbed Clear Creek Business Park LLC, the new site will feature a much larger building for Dahl Glass as well as a second building to be leased out.
Its pretty exciting to be moving in on the 60th anniversary, Kevin said with a smile.
Having always been a renter, the move marks a significant first for Kevin who is looking forward to owning his own building.
Ive been a tenant since I bought the business, he said. I look back and my grandpa had a building, my dad had a building and now Ill have a building.
The family business got its start in the late 1930s when Ole opened Dahls Cabinet Shop.
We still have the cabinet bench in our shop, Kevin said of the historic piece.
