Community meeting set for Chico

There will be a community meeting in Chico at 9 a.m. Saturday June 8 at the Kitsap Golf and Country Club.

Chico and Erlands Point neighbors are invited to meet with Port of Bremerton Commissioner Roger Zabinski, County Commissioner Josh Brown, representatives of Chico’s Salmon Park stewardship group and Kitsap County transportation department.

Topics to be discussed are:

A possible Chico Boat Launch Park and parking/P&R lot;

Street improvements (sidewalk or shoulder enhancement to Erlands Point road between Chico Way / Austin Drive to make it safer to walk there;

Update from the County on Chico Creek restoration and trails;

Ongoing stewardship activities at Chico’s Salmon Park;and suggestions on neighborhood priorities.

Join the Chico Salmon Park Stewardship Group for their monthly work party at the salmon viewing park after the meeting.
