Nutcracker performances ready to go

The beloved winter ballet, The Nutcracker, will be performed by two different dance companies in the area in upcoming weeks.

Peninsula Dance Theatre will have its 40th season of performing the ballet Dec. 6-8.

On Dec. 6 and 7, the show begins at 7:30 p.m. and the final Dec. 8 show will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The performance will be held at Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center at 1500 13th Street.

The community is also invited to the Nutcracker Tea Party on Dec. 8 from 1-2:30 p.m.

Seating is limited for the tea party. Tickets are available at the Bremerton Dance Center, 515 Chester Avenue. Call 360-377-6214 for more information.

Dance Arts Theatre of Silverdale will also present its 26th annual production of the Nutcracker Ballet beginning Nov. 30.

Performances will be at the Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and 2 p.m. Dec. 1.

Reserved seats are $18 and general admission is $15. Seniors, students and children under 18 can see the production for $10 each. Tickets are the door are $20.
