Beautification project to temporarily close portion of Anderson Hill Road
July 11, 2008 · 8:42 AM
Anderson Hill Road will be closed just west of Peach Tree Place NW in the area of the railroad overpass tomorrow, July 12 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Detour routes will be available by using Provost, Newberry, Apex and Dickey roads.
Crews from two local businesses, Team Innovative Services and JR Home Services, are volunteering time to pressure wash the overpass on Anderson Hill Road, removing loose debris and preparing the bridge for painting. Two Central Kitsap students, Victoria Cartwright and Laura Fedorko, along with volunteers, are planning to paint a wildlife mural across the interior of the overpass. The actual painting is planned for early August.
