Volunteer training set for April

To coincide with National Volunteer Month, VolunteerKitsap.org will give back to the non-profit organizations in the region by providing a day of free professional volunteer manager training sponsored by the United Way of Kitsap County, Leadership Kitsap, The Olympic College Foundation, and Kitsap Credit Union.

“Volunteer Management 101” will be on April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at Olympic College, and will be facilitated by Michelle Morris, president of the Volunteer Centers of Washington and Senior Manager of Community Engagement for United Way of Snohomish County.

Training will cover topics including: trends in volunteerism; recruiting, placing, training, and recognizing volunteers; as well as volunteer program evaluation. The seminar is a Leadership Kitsap team coordinated event.

Non-Profit Managers can register at: www.//bpt.me/576127.  The event is free, and lunch is provided. Space is limited.
