Large search and rescue set up to locate missing girl

A command post has been set up by Kitsap County Sheriff's authorities and multiple other agencies to search for Jenise Paulette Wright, a six-year-old girl who was reported as missing yesterday.

The child was last seen at her home where she lives with her parents and six siblings on Steele Creek Drive in East Bremerton. Two children were removed from the home by Child Protective Services this afternoon, according to Kitsap County Sheriff's Spokesman Scott Wilson.

An 8-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl were removed from what Wilson called a "blended family" home. It is unknown at this time why the children were removed.

Jenise has a medium build, is about 3 feet tall with brown eyes and black hair. She is Caucasian and Native American/Filipino, according to sheriff's reports. It is unknown what clothing she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jenise are asked to call Kitsap County Central Communications at 360-308-5400. The case reference number is K14-007799.
