A limited number of sandbags are available at the Kitsap County Public Works Central, North, and South Roads Shed for public use. The locations of the facilities where the sandbags can be picked up:

• North roads

301 Berndt Road, Poulsbo

• Central roads

1971 Seabeck Highway, Bremerton

• South roads

2339 Cedar Road, Port Orchard

For many years the county has provided sandbags to the public for flooding events and with the heavy rains having arrived last night and expected to continue today, there may be a chance of some urban flooding.

The sandbags are staged outside the gates of each shed with a limit of 20 per household.

For more information, contact the Public Works Open Line between 8 a.m. to 4:30, p.m. Monday through Friday at (360) 337-5777.
