Teachers receive national certification

Eight Central Kitsap School District educators were honored for attaining National Board Certification Wednesday night at the CKSD Board of Directors meeting.

The teachers honored included: Bridget Burke, science/early adolescence; Krista Calvin, generalist/middle childhood; Tom Coleman, social studies/history/early adolescent; Eric Samson, science/ early adolescence; Judith Sorrels, art/early adolescence-young adult; Roxann Stewart, reading-language arts/ early and middle; Eric Von Seggern, world language other than English/early adolescence-young adult; and Paul Williams, music/early adolescence-young adults.

With the eight additions, the district now employs 18 National Board Certified teachers.
