Bucklin Hill Road/Tracyton Road drop lane project to begin June 15
June 11, 2009 · Updated 1:07 PM
The project designed to alleviate traffic during peak hours includes constructing a southbound right turn lane on Bucklin Hill Road and a northbound left turn lane on Tracyton Boulevard.
According to Doug Bear, public information programs supervisor for Kitsap County Public Works, the contract was awarded to Seton Construction, from Port Townsend and work is set to begin June 15.
"This project creates a significant impact to traffic," Bear said. "Though Bucklin Hill will be open to traffic at all times, delays are inevitable. Some delays may be quite lengthy. We strongly encourage motorists to use alternate routes for the duration of this project. The project runs through October. Construction will break during the county fair, but the area will still look like a construction area."
