Seabeck residents sitting outside their home off Larson Lane and Windflower Place NW Saturday night saw smoke coming from a neighbor's home and called 911, according to Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue.

The neighbors ran down the hill toward the home and one person grabbed a garden hose and sprayed water into the home through a ground floor window, according to CKFR. A second person ran around the back of the home and sprayed streams of water onto the house until firefighters arrived.

None of the six residents of the burning house were home at the time.

Eleven units from CKFR responded to the blaze around 7:20 p.m. and extinguished the fire by 7:47 p.m.

The home sustained significant heat and fire damage to the master bedroom and bathroom, along with smoke damage throughout the home.

The Kitsap County Fire Marshal's Office continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
