Gaines, Greene leaders in respective CKSD board races

In the Central Kitsap School District race for Director, District 2, preliminary results show Mark Gaines leading with 62 percent, or 5,936 votes, against Rob MacDermid who has 36 percent of the vote, or 3,519 votes.

Earlier this month, MacDermid announced he was endorsing Gaines.

In the CKSD Director District 5 race, board incumbent Eric Greene leads his opponent Richard Romero with 60 percent of the vote, or 5,713 votes, versus Romero's 38 percent or 3,658 votes.

For Silverdale Water Commissioner Position 1, Michael Sechrest shows a preliminary lead of 52 percent, or 1,346 votes, versus Randy Biegenwald at 45 percent, or 1,166 votes.
