Car crashes into Silverdale AM/PM

A red Volvo crashed into the entrance of AM/PM on Silverdale Way near Keyport at 2:09 p.m. Nov. 25.
As the older male driver pulled into the parking lot, he lost control of the Volvo, hurling over the sidewalk, through the glass window and about a foot-and-a-half into the store. The car hit the back of a coffee stand, spewing glass, coffee, cups, lids and straws all over the store.
“I’m guessing he probably just hit the gas pedal and not the break,” store manager Namit Chawla said.
Four police cars showed up to rope off the damaged section of the station, which Chawla said he has insured.
“Nobody got hurt so that’s a good thing,” he said.
