A 911 call reporting an armed robbery at a Silverdale espresso stand Saturday was delayed after the suspect flashed a handgun and threatened the barista.

Kitsap County sheriff's arrived two minutes after the 6:35 p.m. report, bringing along a tracking dog to AllStar Espresso, 10710 Silverdale Way NW but a suspect was not located, according to a statement from the office.

The espresso stand is adjacent to All Star Lanes and Casino.

The call to deputies was delayed "several minutes," the statement said.

The employee told investigators a man approached the stand on foot from the window facing NW Myhre Road, displayed a dark-colored handgun from his jacket and handed the employee a plastic shopping bag for the money.

The suspect was described as white, late 40s to early 50s in age, about six-feet-two-inches with a medium build and "salt and pepper" goatee.

He was wearing a light-colored jacket, a dark blue baseball cap, blue jeans and large eyeglasses described as "safety type" glasses.

Those with information about the robbery can contact sheriff’s deputies Mike Grant or Krista McDonald at (360) 337-7101 or sheriff’s detectives at (360) 337-7111.

Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
