Kitsap Patriots Tea Party kick off

Kitsap Patriots Tea Party, aiming to elect conservative candidates to office, will hold its first event next month.

The picnic will take place at Silverdale Waterfront Park, 3293 NW Byron St., Aug. 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Food and entertainment will be offered at the potluck, with $2 for hot dogs and drinks. Participants are encouraged to also bring food to share.

Speakers will start at 6:30 p.m., and will included Kirby Wilbur, the Evergreen Freedom Foundation’s Bob WIlliams and Keli Carender, who blogs under the name Liberty Belle, as well as speeches by local conservative candidates.
