Letter: Focus on better bus service, not passenger only ferry

Once again Kitsap Transit orchestrated funding for a fast ferry. The funds cannot be used to increase bus service which Kitsap County so desperately needs. Thanks, John Clauson, “Passenger-only ferry debate rife with myths, misconceptions” (April 1, 2016) for ignoring the needs of bus riders. The transfer center in Silverdale has two portable potties. Such elegance.

I am responding to the cartoon that appeared on the Feb. 19 opinion page. The cartoon shows Justice Antonin Scalia being welcomed to heaven.

Leonardo DiCaprio, in his acceptance speech, said “Climate change is real.” More and more climate scientists are giving examples of how people in the U.S. costal areas have already suffered from rising sea levels that are causing floods and unsafe drinking water.

Letter: Transgender law is wrong

This country has fallen victim to progressivism on many levels, many vehicles are used to drive this agenda, and one that I have become closely involved with is the transgender movement. It seems on the surface to be about acceptance, or the right to use the bathroom, but as I have delved deeper into these types of issues, it has become clear that it is fundamentally something more.
