Letters on letters: Get over it already

This letter is in response to the recent letter to the editor from Realtor and developer Richard Brown of Port Orchard (CK Reporter, July 21), regarding Commissioner Josh Brown’s attendance at meetings with other leaders and elected officials in our state as well as in Washington, DC. I am glad that we have an elected official who is willing to meet with other leaders of our community as well as with state and federal elected officials, for the betterment of our community and county government. Commissioner Brown is working very hard to do a good job as county commissioner and we should give him our support. Face it and get over it Dick: Your candidate lost the election and Commissioner Brown won by an overwhelming 66 percent of the vote. Let’s give him a chance and give him our support.

Hollywood politics: No Democrat vote here

There are a great many reasons I wouldn’t vote for Democrats but one reason ALONE would convince me — the tremendous support they receive from decadent, immoral, narcissistic, high living Hollywood stars and the equally decadent, drug-promoting rock stars. Politicians who are for family values and decency wouldn’t want that kind of support!

Thinking back — how nice it was back in the early days of Hollywood when movie stars kept their opinions to themselves!
