Feedback: Down with name calling

It’s taken us a longer time than intended to write this letter. However, no less abatement in the meantime of our anger.

The writer of the Reader Sound-off letter (“Trail of devastation left by Endresen,” June 2, CK Reporter) is certainly entitled to air his opinion. A very vehement one. What we do greatly object to is the name calling. We counted nine “Godzilla” plus one each of “stink” and “rotten.”

Your June 9 edition, under letters, “feedback,” which printed a response by Ron Templeton is also our opinion. Completely.

Herein lies our major objection: Your newspaper willing to print a submitted letter which includes name calling. The writer of that letter, Colin Young, was thoroughly vengeful. We don’t agree with his opinions, but do agree he is entitled to them.

We do not agree with any letter being printed which includes name calling. It is our hope that your newspaper adopt such a policy.
