Thank you: Mock crash a success
Our Senior Prom is a once in a lifetime event that was an all-around success. The Central Kitsap High School Senior Prom for the class of 2007 was not only fun, but also safe. The most important issue raised in preparation for this memorable night was the prevention of drunk driving. Under the direction of Mock Crash chair Janice McFarland, CK counselor Randy Templeton, MADD coordinator Marsha Masters and with the support of the administration and staff, the annual Mock Crash on April 10 touched the hearts of the students as well as the community.
Seven seniors participated in the simulated crash in which there were two casualties, a number of injuries and a drunk driver. The horrific scene demonstrated the importance of life and how fragile it is, no matter how young or old you are. This is the fifth year Central Kitsap High School has provided this assembly for the senior class before our prom and it is one of our most significant traditions.
Thanks to the local Kitsap County Sheriff
