Shame on feds
The world has witnessed the disgrace of our nation and the buck stops at President Bushs desk. Newscasts made us aware of the potential for disaster from Katrina. Navy ships were just around the corner at Pensacola. They were fully outfitted, some as hospitals, some as floating cities complete with life rafts able to weather Pacific storms. None were ordered deployed.
The Bush apologists are going to be everywhere with the spin of blaming the victims and rewarding the inept, then lying about it. We all feel much safer from this example of leadership dont we? Bush was too busy in San Diego trumpeting his first catastrophe, Iraq, to be concerned about his second.
This mistake-free president has given much of the wealth of the country to the already privileged few. He has so starved the states for funding that even 17 Republican governors have had to raise taxes. Ninety percent of funding to repair the levee system in Louisiana was cut but Sen. Ted Stevens got his highway to nowhere built.
By his inaction this culture of life president hastened the deaths of babies, the elderly and the infirm. These were among the
