From KITSAP NEWS Reports

For the Olympic Trojans boys basketball team, a win would be crucial in the race to get into the postseason.

For Central Kitsap, a win would snap a losing skid and keep CK in the thick of a Narrows League Bay Division title hunt.

Unfortunately for both, league rivals Peninsula and Lincoln had other ideas.

Peninsula (3-8, 3-4) topped Oly (3-7, 3-5) in a Oly League battle Thursday, winning 55-46 in a game that was rescheduled due to Tuesday’s snow.

Oly stayed close throughout, but couldn’t catch the Seahawks, led by Gene Lee’s 19. Joey Johnston scored 14 for Oly while Rashad Greene added 12.

As for CK, Lincoln (11-2, 5-1) handed the Cougars (10-3, 6-2) their second-consecutive defeat 71-62 at CK Wednesday.

Kaleb Shelton led the Abes with 16 while Philip Thomas put up the same point total for CK. Isaiah Thompson added 15 and Brandon Durham scored 13 for the Cougars.
