Oly sends pair to state

RENTON — The Olympic boys swim team finished in seventh place overall at the 3A/2A West Central District III Boys Swim & Dive Championships Friday and Saturday at Hazen High School.

Olympic scored 72 points as a team to take seventh, while Kennedy won the meet with 227.

Individually, both Colton Kohnke and John Wojtech advanced in two events while the team also will send the 200-yard free relay, featuring Wojtech, Kohnke, Jacob Nord and Tyler Bass, which took fourth.

Kohnke moves on in the 200 (sixth) and 500 free (sixth), while Wojtech goes to state in the 200 IM (fourth) and the 100 breast (fourth).
