CK summer baseball

The Central Kitsap summer baseball team is looking for players to fill out its roster for the 2008 summer season. To qualify a player must be younger than age 18 before Aug. 1 and must be planning on attending Central Kitsap High School. The team plays about 30 games, including three tournaments. The purpose of the summer team is to prepare players for CK’s high school junior varsity and varsity teams. The Central Kitsap summer team will host tryouts at noon on Sunday, April 27 at the CKHS baseball field. For more information, contact CK head coach Bill Baxter at or via phone at (360) 662-2542.

Ozzie Saxon Wrestling Camp

Former state and national wrestling champion and Olympic graduate Ozzie Saxon will host the 2008 Technique/Competition Camp from June 30 to July 3 at OHS. The camp is for students in grades 7-12 and a T-shirt is included. Session one runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and session two goes from noon to 2:30 p.m. Cost of the camp is $150 and the camp is limited to the first 60 applicants. Application deadline is June 8. ISPN Sports

Catch the latest in Kitsap sports happenings, from high school action to Olympic College, with K-Mac at, the Kitsap peninsula’s first internet-based sports radio show. K-Mac will be broadcasting today’s OC baseball games on ISPN as well.

Emilee Beck Benefit Tournament

The Emilee Beck Benefit Bowling Tournament and Silent Auction takes place tomorrow at All Star Lanes & Casino. The silent auction begins at 9:45 a.m. with bowling beginning at 10 a.m. Cost for the tournament is $75. $15 goes into the prize pool while $60 goes to the Emilee Beck Heart Fund.
