After delay, Cougars trounce

TACOMA — The Central Kitsap football team shrugged off a weekend wait, dominating Mount Tahoma 34-6 Monday night.

CK came on strong early, with Howard McDonald scoring from 2 yards out to put CK on the board. McDonald had another strong game for CK, finishing with 108 yards on 17 carries with two scores. CK took a 20-6 halftime lead, adding two third-quarter scores to solidify the win.

Jason Simonis was 8-of-12 passing in the game, finding Caleb Brown and Cameron Salley for touchdowns, while throwing just one pick.

Salley finished with 97 yards on four catches for CK, which traveled to North Kitsap last night.
