The Central Kitsap cross country team continued it’s success this season, with the Cougar boys winning the Woahink Invitational in Florence, Oregon on Saturday.

A 5K race at Woahink Park, CK was led by Shane Moskowitz, whose time of 16 minutes, 4 seconds won the individual race as well. Cascade Herriott took fourth for CK with a time of 16:41.

Also finishing for the boys were: Rustin Winger (8, 17:04), Zack Weber (12, 17:25), Mark Zylstra (24, 17:51), Nick Pittman (34, 18:39) and Cullen MacLennan (40, 18:59).

The CK girls were second, with Shannon Moskowitz also second overall by just 2 seconds, with her time of 19:30 just behind Suislaw’s Samantha Plummer (19:28). Suislaw won the girls race.

Brittany Siegrist took fifth with a time of 20:19 for the Cougar girls.

Also finishing for the girls were: Maggie Crow (20, 21:16), Allie Rue (22, 21:28), Chelsea Raulsome (35, 22:38), Hillary Coupe (40, 22:50) and Kasey Pinto (44, 23:00).

The strong finish comes on the heels of last week’s runner-up finish on both sides to South Kitsap (boys) and North Kitsap (girls) in a league duel meet.
