Dixon leads Oly charge against PA

PORT ANGELES — If Olympic wanted to prove a point on its Friday trip to Port Angeles, consider it proven.

The Trojans stomped the Roughriders 62-38 behind a 570-yard rushing effort to improve to 3-1 overall, extending their win streak to three games.

Larry Dixon, Oly’s sophomore sensation, rushed for 324 yards on 19 carries, scoring four times.

Nollan Quinn added 125 yards on nine carries with two more scores and Rashad Greene picked up another 86 yards and a score.

Zach Bird went 4-for-5 with 97 yards and a score, connecting with Alex Klump for a 32-yard touchdown.

PA quarterback Eric Lane was huge for the Roughriders, finishing 34-of-66 for 476 yards and four touchdowns.

Next up for Olympic is Oly League rivals Bremerton, who come to town at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
