The Olympic Trojans varsity boys lost again on the basketball court Friday, falling 84-34 to Olympia. A high-pressure defense by Olympia showed the Trojans just what they need to work on. The Bears rode the press to a huge win, never slowing from the start.

“Olympia started the game with more intensity than us and hit us with a full-court press that my guys obviously weren’t ready for,” Olympic coach Tyson Whitfield said. “It was one of those situations where we knew what to do, but just failed to do it.”

One bright spot for the Trojans was the continued solid play of senior Travis Moore. Moore led Olympic with 12 points in the contest. He said that the rest of the team needs to keep intensity high around Moore’s game.

“He did some good things when we were able to get him the ball inside,” Whitfield said. “Eighty percent of the time we got him the ball something positive happened for us.”
