Klahowya Secondary School didn’t have to look too far to fill its vacant coaching position for boys tennis, enlisting current girls coach Bruce Pemberton to take on double duty.

Pemberton, who coached the girls tennis team to a 4-8 mark last spring, is hoping to get some excitement going about the boys program as well.

Practices for boys tennis start on Monday, Aug. 22.

Several positions still remain unfilled as summer winds down, including the boys tennis job at Central Kitsap High School.

Central Kitsap also is still looking for a girls swim coach to take the place of Patti Matthew, who left the job this spring but will remain head coach of the boys program.

In the assistant coaching realm, Klahowya is looking for an assistant high school volleyball coach.

The Eagles also are still looking to fill the head coaching position for volleyball at the middle school level.

Olympic High School is still searching for assitant football coaches.

In the cheer and dance departments, Fairview Junior High School is looking for a cheer coach/advisor.

Olympic also is in need of a dance coach and advisor.
