The Kitsap Soccer Club’s “Name the Team” contest is continuing for 10 additional days. To date, more than 100 different names have been submitted, with entries coming from around the United States and as far away as Norway and the United Arab Emirates. Total entries amounted to nearly 200, as of Thursday.
“First, I’d like to thank everyone,” team owner Robin Waite said. “The response has far exceeded our expectations. We’ve had multiple entries from every single community in Kitsap — and far beyond. This proves that not only do we have a strong soccer community here — we have a strong sporting community.”
To submit entries, visit www.kitsapsoccerclub.com now. The club will accept submissions until midnight Oct. 25.
The winning entrant will receive two season tickets for the club’s inaugural season, set to begin next spring.
