Both Central Kitsap and Olympic are vying for district volleyball berths.

The Lady Cougars (10-4), who dropped a match to Gig Harbor (13-1) Monday, faced Stadium at Olympia High School yesterday to open the Narrows League Tournament. The tournament resumes tomorrow, with winners from yesterday’s matches advancing to the semifinals and losers playing loser-out games.

The Narrows League gets six berths to the district tournament, beginning Nov. 6 at Kentwood High School.

In 3A action, Olympic (10-5) hosts North Thurston in a loser-out, Olympic/Western Cascade League sub-district match at 7 p.m. Nov. 4. A win would give Olympic the OWL No. 3 seed to districts, beginning Nov. 6 at Auburn Mountainview High School.

The Lady Trojans concluded the regular season Tuesday with a 3-2 win over Port Angeles.
