Internet Sports Network schedule

The featured guests on tomorrow’s ISPN Sports Show are Walla Walla Community College women’s soccer coach Chad Bodnar, Bellevue Community College men’s soccer coach Chad Bodnar and Spokane Community College volleyball coach Lessli Rosselli.

Indoor lacrosse

Winter indoor lacrosse, hosted by the Kitsap Youth Lacrosse Association, begins Dec. 6 at the Olympic Soccer & Sports Center at Pendergast Park in Bremerton.

There are youth sessions for boys in grades three through eight as well as for players in high school and up. These are pickup sessions, costing $10 each. For a registration and waiver form, visit

Participants are encouraged to either mail the form to KYLA or bring it to their first session along with the $10 registration fee.

Sessions are refereed and the emphasis is on stick work. Dangerous play is not tolerated.

Registration for the Spring 2010 Boys Youth Lacrosse season also is open. Those wishing to learn and play boys youth lacrosse (grades three-eight) must sign up now. Registration forms are available on the Web. The registration fee is $150 before Dec. 31 and $175 beginning Jan. 1.

OHS winter basketball clinic

The Olympic High School boys basketball team is sponsoring a youth basketball skills clinic Dec. 12 at OHS.

The first session, open to players in kindergarten through fourth grade, is from noon to 2 p.m. The second session, open to players in fifth through eighth grade, is from 2 to 4 p.m.

Walk-ups may be available if the sessions are not full. Skills to be covered include injury prevention, ball handling, shooting, passing and the fundamentals of defense. Registration is $30, which includes a T-shirt. Registration forms are available via e-mail request and online at

Upcoming Kitsap Pumas events

The Kitsap Soccer Club is hosting open tryouts for prospective professional players Feb. 13 and 14 at Gordon Field at the Fairgrounds.

The non-refundable registration fee is $50. Prospects are encouraged to pre-register via the club Web site — — prior to Feb. 5 because demand is high. Pre-payment options have yet to be announced.

The club also recently launched a “Scarf Kitsap — and Beyond!!!” contest. The fan who sends in the most creative photo, incorporating an official Kitsap Pumas club scarf, receives four complimentary tickets to the 2010 regular-season home opener.

Fans must post their entries to the team’s official Facebook page by April 22. Pumas players, coaches and staff will determine a winner.
